Hi there! I'm an incoming BSc Computer Science and Statistics student at the University of Auckland, starting in February.
I tutor SAT Math, IB AASL, and NCEA Level 1 & 2.
I focus on clear explanations, strong foundations, and practice. I believe students learn best when they understand why a method works, not just how to apply it. I break down complex topics into simple, logical steps and adapt my explanations to each student’s pace and learning style. I provide enough guidance for the students to be able to work independently. They will learn how to study.
SAT students will be given organized resources enough for them to rigorously practice for a high score. Since IB, NCEA, and SAT are exam-based courses, I place strong emphasis on problem-solving techniques, common mistakes, and time management.
Depending on the student, lessons can be conducted online or in-person. A typical session is 60 minutes, but longer session can be arranged if needed. I aim to build students' confidence in maths.
