I'm Helena. A 29-year-old Kiwi. I have a certificate in TESOL and a PGDip in English from the University of Auckland. I have been tutoring English (online and in person) for the past 5 years. I also tutored English in Paris for 7 months back in 2015.
I offer flexible and tailored English tutoring in a friendly and fun environment. I've been told that my approach to tutoring makes it enjoyable and easier for my students to pick up English.
I like to take a individual approach with the students needs, wants and goals driving our topics and strategies. I am a patient tutor who lets individuals learn at their own pace.
If you are wanting to simply practice your speaking for everyday or work use, I really enjoy building students confidence with themselves and their English.
I also offer bespoke English tutor for essay writing, thesis support and other academic writing.
I also offer one-on-one tutoring in History and Classics. Similar to my English tutoring I ask that students have goals they wish to achieve (lifting a grade, writing better essays or just a better understanding) which we will use to cater our tutoring sessions. I have a specific focus in Egyptology, Greek History and Modern History.
