Tutor Profile

I am really into Popular and Libertarian Education. I have Post Graduate Degree in Secondary School Teaching and I follow, among others, Paulo Freire's or Francisco Ferrer i Guardia's pedagogic methods. As these pedagogues, I believe that the educational process should be a mutual relational process. Professors are only facilitators and knowledge is co-produced between professors and students. I dream we can build our utopian worlds through dialogue and direct action.

**My lessons & teaching style**
We learn Spanish through INCLUSIVE LANGUAGE, enabling anyone to produce their reality and subjectivity with freedom. The idea is to create a real bond between the student and the tutor, building a common SAFE SPACE. We learn Spanish vocabulary and grammar while reading or DISCUSSING POLITICS, PHILOSOPHY, LITERATURE, the global pandemic or any of COMMON real INTERESTS. Generally, and before each lesson, I will suggest to do some research, reading or watching a documentary or film. This will allow us to prepare in advance each lesson. Simultaneously to our lesson, I will transcribe part of our conversation in order to be able to register and discuss together the new vocabulary, grammar, corrections and/or doubts.
All materials to support our lessons are provided by me with FREE ACCESS (grammar books, dictionaries, articles, podcasts, films or documentaries). So no extra money will be needed for the lessons.

All kind of students are accepted, Beginners (A1) to Proficient (C2)

I am a part time researcher, journalist and passionate native Spanish tutor. Originally from Madrid, currently I am living in Athens, Greece, where I am doing a postdoc in the School of Architecture, in Athens, Greece. I have edited books, published scientific papers, essays on newspapers (OpenDemocracy, Diagonal, Salto Diario), or produced contents for radio shows. I am kind of a nomadic persona (or gypsy :)) and I love to learn from other's people cultures and knowledges.
