Hi, I'm Jonathan.
I will provide support and teach the essentials of how to ace the different challenges posed in the IB / NCEA English courses.
Learning from an official IB English examiner myself, I know exactly what markers look for and how to bump your child's grade up to an excellence or an esteemed IB level 7. I will be there to guide your child through all the internal examinations and prepare for the end-of-year examinations.
I will help reinforce content taught in class, clarifying learning outcomes and teaching material that may have been glazed over. I will also help with all internal assignments, editing essays and refining oral scripts. However, what sets my students apart is the extra material I teach. This material helps students have a larger library of knowledge, allowing them to use multiple approaches and critical lenses to answer essay questions, especially in the unfamiliar text exam.
I teach my students how to write exceptional essays or deliver an intriguing speech. My students learn how to adopt critical thinking skills that will set them apart from other candidates and help them earn that Excellence or level 7.

Qualifications
I completed the IB Examinations in 2022, achieving a level 7 in High Level Language and Literature. I currently study Law at the University of Auckland.
