Native Spanish speaker and NCEA tutor for Year 9–13 students in Auckland, North Shore and online across NZ. I teach NCEA Spanish Levels 1–3: speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, internals and exam preparation. Biology tutoring is also available for Years 11–13.
I hold a Master’s degree in Plant Health Science from the University of Chile and combine strong subject knowledge with clear, structured teaching. Lessons are adapted to each student’s level, pace and learning needs. Experience supporting autistic students and learners with ADHD has strengthened my ability to explain ideas in different ways and break difficult tasks into manageable steps.
My aim is to build subject knowledge, confidence, study methods and independent problem-solving. Start with a free 15-minute level check. Send me a FindATutor message with the student’s year level, subject, next assessment and current difficulty, and I will suggest a suitable starting point.
Qualifications
I hold a Master’s degree in Plant Health Science from the University of Chile. My academic training includes biology, agricultural science, scientific research, analysis and problem-solving.
Entering university at the age of 15 gave me early experience in advanced academic learning and shaped my understanding of how differently students can process information and develop their abilities.
Spanish is my native language, providing a strong foundation in pronunciation, grammar, natural expression and cultural understanding. I have also achieved a score of 90 in every PTE communicative skill: Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening.
Now based in Auckland, I combine my Spanish-language background, postgraduate science education and experience supporting different types of learners to provide structured, adaptable tutoring for students across New Zealand.
Experiences
My tutoring experience includes one-to-one Spanish and Biology lessons for secondary school students, including support for NCEA Levels 1–3. I also teach PTE English preparation and can support Year 6–8 learners in English, Mathematics and Science.
Lessons are adapted to each student’s ability, goals and preferred pace. In Spanish, I support speaking, pronunciation, listening, reading, writing, grammar and assessment preparation. In Biology, I help students understand complex concepts through clear explanations, logical connections and practical examples.
I also have experience working with neurodivergent learners, including autistic students and students with ADHD. This has developed my ability to provide predictable lesson structure, explain ideas in different ways and divide challenging tasks into manageable steps.
My teaching focuses not only on subject knowledge, but also on study methods, problem-solving and helping students become more confident and independent learners.
