Kia ora! I’m an English Teacher based in Pōneke, and I tutor online so that I can help you achieve success no matter where you are. I teach both junior and senior English courses, and have experience with both NCEA L2 and L3. I mark exams, and understand what markers are looking for from high achieving candidates!
I have a MA in Creative Writing and have taught specialised writing classes. I especially enjoy giving precise, effective feedback on writing pieces, and want every student to be able to reach their full writing potential. My experience as a writer also means I can teach students how to effectively unpack texts.
I have a range of academic qualifications and use this to teach texts as holistically as possible. This provides my students with various entries into a text based on what they might be interested in. I can bring this to your texts, too, or help teach you a seperate text entirely!

Experiences
I have experience teaching NCEA English L2 and L3. I currently work at a large Wellington secondary school. I have marked L2 English exams as a contractor for NZQA.

Kia ora! I’m an English Teacher based in Wellington, and can online tutor you no matter where in the country you are. When I’m not teaching, I’m getting lost in any great quality literature (novels, poetry, essays, you name it!). I love to write and paint in my spare time. I explore the wonderful nature and urban opportunities of Pōneke whenever I can. :)
