I teach drawing, oil painting and photoshop, with an emphasis on the fundamentals: perspective, lighting and anatomy.
How can I depict people, animals, and architecture more realistically? How does colour and light work? How can I frame something to feel more cinematic? How do materials and mediums work, and which ones should I use? These are all questions that can be definitively answered, though many people don't realize it. My aim as a tutor is to provide students with these answers, sharing methods that allow them to be a versatile professional, without stifling what makes them unique.
Qualifications
I began drawing at 6, started getting paid for it in my late teens, and have worked various jobs across the industry ever since. This has included concept art for television, in-house design work, illustration, tattoo designs, and now tutoring.
My mum invested in private tuition for me as a kid, which helped massively in developing my skill and technical understanding. Since I have been teaching, I've been able to pass on much of that invaluable knowledge, which has been really rewarding.
Experiences
I have been tutoring professionally for the last year, and have always enjoyed, and excelled, at teaching my craft to anyone who is interested.
About
I'm an artist, but more broadly, a creative; besides painting and drawing, I also love music, film, sculpting, acting, and writing, and have dabbled in all of these mediums.
