Hi, I’m Woojin. I’m currently studying medicine in Australia and have been tutoring students across New Zealand and Australia for over 7 years.

I mainly work with NCEA students in Maths, Calculus, Statistics, Biology and Chemistry, particularly students aiming for Excellence, a high ATAR, or competitive university pathways such as Medicine, Dentistry and Optometry.

I achieved a converted 99.95 ATAR from NCEA Level 3 and have personally been through both the New Zealand and Australian university admissions processes.

Most tutoring is online, so I work with students across Christchurch, Auckland, Brisbane and elsewhere. I’m also involved with Fermi Education (FermiEducation.com), where I can connect students with other strong tutors if someone else is better suited to a particular subject or goal.

Outside study and tutoring, I’ve been involved in competitive swimming, school leadership and a range of extracurricular activities.

Experience

7+ years of tutoring experience with students from primary school through to Year 13 across New Zealand and Australia.

My tutoring is generally quite flexible and practical. I focus on identifying what a student actually needs help with, then combining content teaching, past-paper practice and exam strategy.

Because I finished NCEA relatively recently myself, I’m familiar with both the academic side of the system and the pressure of balancing school, exams, university applications and extracurricular commitments.
