Hi, my name is Wenya, a recent graduate from Auckland Grammar currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering as a Dalyell Scholar at the University of Sydney.
While some people may look down upon my abilities as a tutor due to my young age, I strongly believe that my age is one of my strong points.
As a recent graduate, I am deeply familiar with the ins and outs of the current curriculum and can relate with many of the students' struggles on a personal level. Despite my current results, I have to say that I was not always successful academically. Like many of you, I have also struggled with many of the courses I took in the past. However, I believe that with my assistance, you can also rise up above the mistakes of the past and become successful in your academic endeavours. Whether you're looking for a tutor to help you with University Entrance or looking for that final push to get into Medicine or Engineering, I strongly believe that I can help you achieve your dreams.
The most important part to improving your academic results is to seek help when required. While hardwork is necessary, those who work hard without direction are only wasting their efforts. Experiences
I have previously tutored 4 different students (from Auckland Grammar School and King's College) at AS level subjects including maths, history, physics, and chemistry throughout 2021. Throughout the 2021 Oct/Nov external exam series, they have all seen fantastic results (many of which are 90%+) in the subjects tutored. One of my clients is on track to graduating with 4 A stars, 3 of which in subjects I had tutored him on.
I have also previously worked with a independent tutoring organisation (Cluey education) as a private contractor, however I decided to part ways with them due to their large commission and poor compensation.
Currently in 2022, I am tutoring several clients ranging from year 9 to year 12, in NCEA level 2 chemistry and physics. They are on track to finish with an excellence endorsement, and are among the top ranked students of their cohort.
